Altavista Search Network - The best search engine available on the internet.   Beats Yahoo, Lycos, and whatever else you've been using.  This search engine searches ALL pages on the internet rather than only those that have been sent in by their authors..no categorization so you see which pages REALLY had the best matches to your search query.

Bartlett's Familiar Quotations - Great organization and searchability.

Desktop Themes - Here's where you can get animated cursors, desktop themes and wallpaper, etc.

Gif Wizard -  A program that compresses the size of .gif (Graphics Interchange Format) files.

ICQ - A pun on "I seek you", this is a handy program that enables you to chat, see when your friends are online, send them messages, page them, and send files.

Rensselaer Writing Center - The writer's reference source.

Serious Chat & Chat God -  Two chat programs that enable you to chat with other live netizens out there on IRC (Internet Relay Chat) servers.

Stroud's Consummate Winsock Applications - For virtually any other utility you can imagine...reviews...descriptions...etc.

Webster's Dictionary - There is beauty in simplicity.

WinZip - A file compression utility.  Particularly handy when you've got huge files you'd like to compact and send in an email or put on a floppy disk.

WSFTP - An FTP (File Transfer Protocol) program that allows you to connect to an internet FTP site to upload and download files quickly.
