Specifications:
Server ID:    63.140.133.74
Log-on:  This server does not require you to log on with an ID and password.
Connection:  It is recommended to connect to this server with Internet Explorer's or a 3rd party dial-up connection.
NNTP:  Server port number is 119.  This server does not require a secure (SSL) connection.
Mission Orders/Briefings & Logs Newsgroup:   ACTD.missions. 1stfleet.Vesuvius

Protocol:

 The AGM will post Mission Orders to the newsgroup.  The Captain will reply to that posting with a Mission Briefing.  All crew members are required to post their logs in reply to the  Mission Briefing.
Instructions for Posting Logs: #1 Always open the Mission Briefing and select "Reply to Group".

#2 Clear (delete) the text in the Subject Line and type your rank, name and position.  It should look similar to this:  Ens. Greenhorn - CTO.  That is all the text that should appear there.  No more, no less.  Do not use a stardate and do not use the word "log".  Everything on this newsgroup is a log so it is redundant to type it; and the date is automatically added when you post.

#3 Type or cut and paste your log into the message body.  Make sure your log is the only text appearing in the message body.

#4 Select "Post" or "Send" to send your log to the newsgroup server.   It may take several minutes for your log to appear on the server.

#5 If you make a mistake, go ahead and post your log again, correctly.   Then notify your AGM of the post that was incorrect so they can make certain it is deleted.
Options: You may wish to post supplemental logs as the week progresses.  You may wish to include information that interacts with other crew members' logs, or you may wish to cover events that unfolded after your initial log.   Supplemental logs are posted in the same manner as described above, with the word "supplemental" added to the Subject Line.  It should look similar to this:   Ens. Greenhorn - CTO - Supplemental.
