New Orleans Class

First constructed as a front-line warship and defensive platform, the New Orleans class starship descends from the heavier and larger Galaxy class starships.  The New Orleans class was built upon similar design specifications as the Ambassador class ships, with the addition of two modules on the aft of the saucer section that can be mission-outfitted with different sensor or weapons packages. Distinguished ships of the line include  the U. S. S. Renegade NCC-63102, U.S.S. Thomas Paine NCC-65530, U.S.S. Kyushu NCC-65491, and the U.S.S. Rutledge NCC-57295.
