Wedding Flowers
In this era of time, there are no real rules as far as wedding flower do's and don'ts. We are in a new Millennium. So anything goes!
Although most Brides prefer white or ivory flowers for themselves, some do add a touch of color to their bouquets quite often complimenting their attendants dress color or flowers.{for example}If the attendants are all carrying pink asters and white daisies with a touch blue statice (summer wedding), the bride might pick up the pink and blue in her otherwise all white bouquet.
The shape of the bouquet has to do as much with personal taste as it does with style of dress and height of the girl. A tall girl might carry a long cascading bouquet where a petite girl may carry a small round nosegay. If an outdoor wedding is planned, sometimes the bride will prefer a "just picked" look and the flowers are then arranged as an arm bouquet tied with ribbons.
Most Brides favor a special flower and use that one in their bouquet, accented with the other flowers used in the attendants arrangements. By using seasonal flowers, you will get the best quality at the most reasonable price. {for example} Narcissis (daffodils) are in season in March, therefore, if your favorite flower were daffodils, you wouldn't plan an August wedding.
The men in the Bridal Party would all have boutonnieres to match their female counterpart. The Groom would match the Bride, etc. If the Bride carried all white roses, the Groom would wear a white rose . Matching is very important, especially for the photos.
